How can a change in the voting system increase knowledge about voting issues?

Answer

Today when we vote, we fill out all the boxes at the same time, many times selecting candidates we know little about based on party affiliation, or leave specific positions blank. With our change, voters will be able to take their time and do as much research as they desire. When the mailed out ballot is sitting in a voters home there is a higher likelihood that they will consider each question and position more thoroughly rather than make a quick decision as happens today. Through this system, Massachusetts will have more knowledgable voters making their decisions based on a larger amount of information.
